Dude, Where's My Update? #17
I've got Secret Wars on the brain and none of y'all can stop me.
What a month it has been! Did you all listen to the latest "Make Mine Multiversity?" Even if you don't usually listen, give this one a go. I had a lot of fun editing it, even though that editing took up so. much. time. So much time! I barely had time to write last month.

I love doing MMM. I mean it. The conversations. The fabulous guests. Getting to check in with friends. The weird and wild corners of the Marvel Universe I get to visit.
I just hate editing it.
My brain is not built for it. I get so impatient staring at the waveforms but the perfectionist side of me is like, you're gonna make this sound the best you're able to. Fix that pause. Remove that silence. Clean up that rambling thought. And before I know it, ten hours have gone by, eating up most of the free time I've set aside, and the next article is due.
That next article being a transcription of an interview that I also have not had time to do and don't have a service for because, let's be real, this is all a passion project for myself and all of you wonderful readers, and I don't have the income to justify it.
All this is to say, that's why there's no new regular article on the site this week and why paid subs are getting two this time around. I've been a bit behind and podcast weeks are usually a dual-release affair, which threw me off even more.
What Else You Got?
I'm saving it for later! I finally got access to Sweet Shop so maybe my big Neon Ichiban and Sweet Shop write-up will happen. I saw an article at The Beat that, well, beat me to the punch by a bit. Still, I have my own thoughts and analysis so look forward to that.
I may miss another week somewhere in the next month as I finish up an article for SOLRAD. I'll try to get ahead enough so it won't be noticeable. I'm also plugging away at my SPX books still, have a webcomic I want to review ("Flashbang!",) working on updating the "TMNT" reading order (lots of compendiums coming out soon,) and I got a copy of "Jake Spooky" in the mail that I'd like to give a short, second review of. It has much sliminess!
Plans within plans, wheels within wheels, as I try to get myself out of my head and just write.
My Cats
My cats! Or, well, one of my cats. He was helping us make gefilte fish for Passover.

Catch you on the flipside folks!
